Within all areas of translation, our aim is “to offer our clients top quality service within established deadlines” and we have perfected our translation procedures and project management systems to meet the needs of our clients.
With our dedication to excellence we are constantly working to improve our processes and offer an ever wider range of services with optimum rates and strict adherence to deadlines.
Avanza Traducciones has an experienced team of native-speaking professional translators in over 20 languages to provide direct and inverse translation in range of specialised areas:
Considered the most simple in execution, the text contains no technical or specialised terms, allowing us to offer the client attractive rates and work within restricted deadlines.
Texts which fall into the category of General Translations include: letters, press releases, CV´s, certain web pages, catalogues and cultural or tourism related brochures, menus, etc.
Referring to legal texts or those containing legal terminology, such as sentences, contracts, lawsuits, legal resolutions and reports, etc. We have a team of native speaking translators specialised in Spanish law and supported by EU norms and Glossaries.
Referring to financial texts such as reports, balance sheets, financial reports, etc. The final text is delivered with all charts, tables and layouts, providing a faithful copy of the original but in another language.
Technical
For these types of projects we have specialist translators with the technical knowledge and experience necessary for these texts.
Additionally, we offer the creation of Glossaries for the client, based on general technical glossaries, in order to adapt the terminology to the specific needs of the client.
The project co-ordinators handling the client account ensure that their translations are done by the same translator, basing the terminology on the specific Glossary of the client.
This refers to the translation of a computer program or videogame and related materials, adapting to the cultural and market characteristics of the target language.
For large scale projects with tight deadlines, we create a work group under the supervision and revision of a head translator to guarantee the cohesion of the final content. A calendar of benchmarks is established in order to allow the client to work with the texts as the project proceeds.
This refers to commercial texts produced by marketing departments and translated in order to faithfully transmit the ideas of the original text in another language. These texts must usually be modified or adapted to fit with the target language.
For this type of translation we offer additional services for document layouts and printing in order to provide an identical document in the target language, ready for printing or on digital support.
This type of translation is usually required by certain public or private institutions, courts, Ministries and Universities.
For Certified or Sworn translations, we have a team of Certified Translators, authorised by the Spanish Foreign Ministry (Ministerio Español de Asuntos Exteriores) who act as a notary, swearing a public oath to the veracity of the translated document.
Avanza Traducciones has a network of official translators throughout Spain and in countries such as the United Kingdom, France and Portugal.
Sworn Translations are delivered on paper signed and sealed by the Certified Translator. There are two fee structures for translations of this type: by Document, applicable for projects of at least 3 documents or for certain languages such as Romanian, Chinese or Japanese; or by Word calculated from the final translated document.
Avanza has a professional team of interpreters, experienced in all types of interpreting scenarios and fully trained in the specific techniques of “oral translation” from one language to another.
In addition to specific training, interpreters must have the personal attributes required by any event of this type: concentration, mental agility, diplomacy, a clear speaking voice, perfect command of both working languages as well as a keen understanding of the cultural and social characteristics of the countries involved.
There are two types of interpreting: consecutive and simultaneous.
Appropriate for meetings with two working languages and a reduced number of participants (not more than 20) and with established pauses. These recommendations are important in order to ensure that meetings have a manageable duration and the participants can follow the discussions effectively
The organisation of these events only requires the interpreter and a basic sound system with two microphones.
Appropriate for meetings, conferences or seminars in various languages and where communication must be fluent and immediate.
In this case, the interpreter takes position in a soundproof booth with a microphone, listening to the speaker through headphones and translating in real time to the target language. Participants are provided with earphones to receive the translation.
To ensure the success and fluency of the event, interpreters must be provided with the materials to be used by the event speakers in advance in order to prepare the event.
This option requires specific technical equipment: interpreter booth, console, sound table, transmitter, microphones and receivers, etc. installed and co-ordinated by sound technicians.
These items and materials are included in the interpreting services offered by Avanza.
Interpreting cabins may also be configured in relay mode interpreting from a single language in various languages simultaneously.
Appropriate for business meetings, guided tours, etc, for a maximum of 4 people with two working languages. The interpreter serves as a liaison between two people of different nationalities.
Just as for Certified or Sworn Translations, this is necessary for official events, weddings, notarial acts, etc. The interpreter is certified by the Spanish Foreign Ministry (Ministerio Español de Asuntos Exteriores) and signs and seals the act after interpreting between two languages
In addition to translation and interpreting services, Avanza also co-ordinates work with professionals in different areas in order to provide our clients with seamless high quality services from a single supplier, reducing costs and ensuning close supervision of the project. The client doesn’t have to worry about a thing.
Since it is difficult to standardise the fees for these types of services, we provide personalised budgets for each project, offering the client the most advanced techniques and highly trained, experienced professionals.
Our skilled team of designers and editors are able to reproduce identical documents in a different language and even enhance the image and design quality of the original document.
This service is offered for the translation of manuals, presentations, memoranda, etc.
This service is available for the following languages:
This service consists of the creation of a text in a specific language, adapted to the cultural, social and linguistic characteristics of the country.
Departing from a rough draft or idea provided by the client, we can produce any type of general, commercial, financial or legal text in the language of choice.
The fees for this service are by the hour according to the difficulty and length of the required text.
From an audio or video format we obtain an original language transcription in Word format
This text can then be translated into the language or languages required.
This is a service which is offered in addition to Transcription and Translation services, as they are part of the subtitling process for a video format.
The process is as follows: departing from a high quality video file, a transcription is made in the original language which is then translated in the language or languages of choice. This translation is then adapted and inserted as subtitles into the original video file.
These are necessary for simultaneous interpreting in the case they are not supplied by the event venue.
Interpreting booths are portable and must be assembled 6 hours prior to the event with the specified audio equipment, including: transmitter, receiver, sound table, microphones, etc. The installation of this equipment, necessary to provide the simultaneous interpreter with a soundproof workstation, is co-ordinated by one or various sound technicians depending on the number of booths required.
The cost of this service may vary according to the number of booths and days required. Discounts are offered on the unit cost of this equipment as these variables increase
This is a new service we offer and must be requested at least one month before the celebration of the event.
This is designed for events where hosting services are needed in one or more languages, requiring mixed hosting and interpreting services.
As with our Hosting – Interpreting service, this must be requested at least one month in advance.
This service is only available for events which require interpreting services. While Avanza is not a catering company, we will provide, at a minimum extra cost in intermediaries, complete catering services in order to ensure a successful and enjoyable event.
In order to meet the occasionally tight deadlines of our clients, Avanza offers an Express Service, valid for all our translation services and for 70% of language combinations.
For Sworn Translations, which present special difficulties and must be delivered on paper, we can offer a minimum delivery period of 48 hours in the majority of languages.
