What type of translation do I need?

When deciding on the type of translation a client needs, our commercial managers have the translation and project management experience necessary to prepare a proposal which meets the needs of the client.
The text(s) to be translated should be sent by e-mail or fax, in the case they are only available on paper format, indicating the purpose of the translation, in order for us to determine if the client needs a general or Sworn translation.

When do I need a Sworn Translation?

Sworn translations are needed when translated documents must be presented to an official organisation, university, notary or before any judicial body, in Spain or elsewhere.

Some typical documents which require Sworn translations are: academic certificates, diplomas, company certificates, property registers, statutes, wills, powers of attorney, annual balance sheets, company accounts, quality certifications, etc.

How do I calculate the price of a Sworn Translation?

A minimum rate is applied for translations up to 750 words, depending on the language and type of document. For translations of more than 750 words, a rate is applied by translated word, including numbers and stamps. The final text must be a perfect reproduction of the original

You may send use the text(s) to be translated for a quote with no obligation.

How and in what format do I send the texts to be translated?

We will adapt to any text format.

In the case of general or technical translations, these are sent by e-mail. Translated documents are usually in Word, Excel or PowerPoint format.

Does the same translator work with all types of texts?

No. Just as there are different areas of translation, there are different types of translators with specialised training in different areas: law, finance, science, technology, medicine, marketing, journalism, etc.

Does the same translator work with different languages?

No. Translators are native speakers of the target language of the text, ensuring the fluency and coherence of translation that only a native speaker can provide.

There are translators who are fully fluent in languages in addition to their native language and these translators do work in different languages.

What are the payment procedures for my translation?

In the case you require a Sworn Translation, this can be paid before delivery by means of a bank transfer or can be paid upon delivery, COD.

For any other services, translations or additional services, 50% of the total must be paid on deposit by means of a bank transfer. The remaining balance is paid within 30 days of the invoice date.

Are translations proof-read or double checked before delivery?

Of course. Proof reading is one of the key elements to ensure the quality of our work.

Depending on the type of text, in addition to proof-reading the final translation, the document is checked for style, terminology, format, etc, by a fully qualified proof reader.
